I feel very fortunate to do something for a living that I thoroughly enjoy. I had my first camera a Kodak Instamatic when I was a young boy taking snaps on family holidays and the fascination of seeing printed images has never left me. As a young teenager I had a \u2018David Bailey\u2019 camera an Olympus Trip and from then I was hooked. A little later the use of a Rolleiflex and access to the magic of a darkroom simply sealed my fate. There was a brief interlude studying Architecture in the early 1980\u2019s but the allure of silver halide was too strong and I became a freelance photographer in the late 1980\u2019s.\u00a0 I have over 40 years of experience photographing food, still life, and landscapes. I am based in the UK in London and photograph images in studios, restaurants, hotels, houses and factories in the UK, Europe and around the world. My style has always been light and airy using natural daylight and a short depth of field wherever possible. I\u2019ve been forever fascinated with detail, zooming into the structures and textures of everyday objects especially food and seeing them from an unusual perspective never ceases to excite me.<\/p>
I\u2019ve always enjoyed puzzles and games from childhood and being able to transfer some of my pictures into challenging 1000 piece environmentally friendly jigsaw puzzles has been a long term ambition but finding the best process has taken time and I\u2019m excited to be partnering with Teemill on a sustainable journey with what I hope you will agree are some of my striking images.\u00a0<\/p>
